I work both. I don't encourage either until I meet with the client.

I assume you are scheduling the first meeting for a Med Supp because of the restrictions placed on agents by CMS. Is that correct? If so, isn't that initially "encouraging" a Med Supp?

If not how are you working around CMS rules and regs?

No, you're correct. Supplements can be sold the first meeting. PDP's are sold upon the supplement's delivery. If it is MA, I do have to leave, as you very well know. My point is, I do not "encourage" a supplement sale that day if an MA is either appropriate or what they want. I've got no problem with coming back and haven't, since the scopes began their use in 2008.

And this still does answer my original question regarding turning 67+.

Sorry about that.

I have targeted T-65 several times since I began selling Med Supps almost eighteen years ago. Each time I do I have sold policies but I have found it to be much more time consuming and difficult compared to targeting 67+.

I have found prospecting 67+ to be much easier. They already have a basic understanding of Medicare and Med Supps and more often than not they have already received a premium increase.

When premiums go up seniors go shopping.

If you would like to give me a call I will be glad to discuss it with you in greater detail, 573.544.4091.

Thanks, Frank. I might just do that in a couple of weeks. Appts all this week and next week I'll be at a company's convention (while I qualified for entirely from t-65 sales). But when I get back, I might be interested in learning about this market.

By the way, sorry for the terseness of my last post. I forgot I'm the new guy here and no one knows me, so you came to a reasonable conclusion, one I might have come to as well, if I was in your position.

I would say that if you are that good working T-65, selling to those 67 and older should be a piece of cake. At least I have found that to be so.

No worries, it was my bad for not completely answering your question. We're good. :)

I'll look forward to your call.
