Virginia under 65 on disability, medsup help

Lol do you sell medicare ? It seems not so hand off the a full time medicare agent . It’s illegal to put anyone with medicaid on a med sup . A full duals medical exp’s are covered at 100% . He’ll have zero out of pocket. I just looked at that zip code . United healthcare has a good one . Your client will get a $230 a month food card . Its the dual ppo choice H1889-006-000

Not sure if this a thing anymore but i believe some states medicaid would pay the premium for a med supp in stead of funding the cost share payments .Maybe it was just for people who already had a med supp when they qualified for medicaid ?The Fl AARP med supp application stills ask question about whether current med supp premium is being paid by state medicaid.

It used to be some states had Medicaid pay copays and deductibles instead of pushing everyone to MA plans for duals.
I am has it at to just enroll in dual mapd that some agents would do.
Instead trying to get the customer better care even if we are not paid as it is a correct thing to do.
Thank you all for the input. Plan a is not that bad compared to mapd. she is full paid part b and extra help so the medsup is the last thing I was thinking but it is their choice

So they are not dual eligible for Medicaid? only Rx extra help and Part B covered? I would double check the coverages for the MedSupp they qualify for, since out of pocket potential needs to be considered including the cost of the MedSupp. Then compare with MAPD.

Most states now have MMA plans that manage the medicaid side for dual eligible on OM. No downside for these folks because have to use medicaid providers if they want their cost share covered anyway and they do get some additional benefits but not nearly as much as on a snp ma plan. IMO one of the big advantages of moving MMA people to a DSNP ( with a good network) is they will have access to more specialist. If specialist is in MA network it doesn't matter if they accept medicaid. In Fl i have way more providers say they don't accept the UHC MMA plan but will accept UHC DSNP MA plan.

There are no commissions involved in Med sup for under 65 so it is not an issue. The request was to be able to see any dr in the country so i am trying to help here. I she goes to dual plan how she is going to get treatment in another state?

She would have to pay the non-covered portion. It's illegal for you or any agent to sell someone a med supp when they have full medicaid and the carrier will more than likely not even issue it.
