Who Sells in NY?

Nice of you to check it out that in depth, and I agree, it's costly, that's NY unfortunately.

Based on these qualifications http://www.ins.state.ny.us/website2/hny/english/hnyeci_sole.pdf I have a hard time believing he would be eligible. Even if he was, the premiums are still fairly high. The best bet would be the college health plan and the next best bet would be to be on daddy's insurance if it has a network up there OR if they'll pay claims up there without a network, which most plans have a way of handling.

Having lived and worked there for about a dozen years I knew it was expensive even if you qualify for that program. Part of the problem with NY is that it's GI and another part of the problem is the mandates on coverage and limited product availability. Don't worry, coming to a state near you by 2014, or so they say.
