Why Do Suzie Orman and Dave Ramsey Trash WL So Much?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I respect that. Both Suze and Dave have very strong thoughts and communicate those thoughts very well.

I have no ethical problems with Suze, but I feel that Dave's approach in marketing his program through churches is downright vile. I have heard many pastors promote FPU as a Biblically centered program, but I see Dave as a false prophet getting into churches and not really talking about Biblical stewardship of money. I have a hard time with Dave essentially serving as an extension of the ministry team only to lie about investing an insurance to those who buy into his overpriced program.

I also don't like what he is doing with Zander. I have gotten quotes fron them before and best I can tell they do not offer ONFS, Cini, or Columbus life who often show up cheapest on compulife. When you get your quote from Zander it says something like "Dave says get the cheapest bc there is no real difference in the products." Well then you shouldn't. Buy your term ins from Zander bc they don't have the cheapest.

See Matthew 7:15 and James 3:11-18. Just because he talks about tithing doesn't mean his message is Biblically sound.

That's what this guy does:

Mike Volner pushes away prospects...yes, really. | LifeHealthPro

He proactively states: “I may not be right for you.” It saves both of them time. It allows Volner to be who he is. “I’m not a jack-of-all-trades. I’m a specialist.”

That's the kind of verbiage that I would think attracts the best prospects.

Herb Cohen's "Negotiate THIS! Care, But Not T-H-A-T Much" is great at explaining this concept.

So is "Pitch Anything."

Thanks for the share, DHK.

We don't necessarily disagree. Tithing is only a very small part of Biblical stewardship. Yes, Dave does mention tithing, but it is in the context of factual information in order to promote Zander and his ELP agenda.

I tend to agree with you. Crown Financial Ministries is alternative to Ramsey that teaches much the same things, has a great program, their materials are all cheaper, and they do not endorse providers or products. They also are not against WL or annuities, do not say you will average 12% in mutual funds, and they are a true ministry.
