Books to Read?

Do you think it is wise to invest in Ben Feldman The feldman method? IF you had to choose the top 3..not so much motivational but more of practical how to's in selling insurance, which would it be?

I wouldn't pay $50-$100 bucks for the Feldman book. I have one but I got it for less than $15.00. The books by John Savage and Burt Meisel are more helpful.

+1 on Bettger's book. Kept me in the biz once.
Also, the Gospel of John. That keeps all of this mess in perspective. (Go with the NASB or NIV)

Forget not the book of Proverbs as well. Here are some for when you don't feel like prospecting:

Go to the ant, you sluggard!
Consider her ways and be wise,
Which, having no captain,
Overseer or ruler,
Provides her supplies in the summer,
And gathers her food in the harvest.
How long will you slumber, O sluggard?
When will you rise from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber,
A little folding of the hands to sleep—
So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler,
And your need like an armed man.

(Prov. 6:6-11)

He who has a slack hand becomes poor,
But the hand of the diligent makes rich.
He who gathers in summer is a wise son;
He who sleeps in harvest is a son who causes shame. (10:5)

The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing;
But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich. (13:4)

The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing. (20:4)

The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets. (26:13)
As the door turneth upon his hinges, so doth the slothful upon his bed. (26:14)

Thanks! We just read that over the weekend. We're going to start reading it again with our 10 and 8 year olds.

I have been an agent for 22 years. I lurk here but rarely post.

I am looking for some good sales/motivational books that some of you have read. I am iced in in North Texas and would like some recommendations.

If it matters I mostly concentrate on Med Supps, Annuities and Life.

Thanks
I have read hundreds of sales and motivational books. Perhaps my favorite is "The Accidental Salesperson" by Chris Lytle. Enjoyable, easy to read, and packed full of the best wisdom for anyone in sales.
