Commission payments for MAPD's

Now, what would happen if that T65 member got the MAPD eff 11/01, and then enrolled in a diff plan during AEP for a 01/01 effective date? The member actually wants to do this because of network stuff with his doctor. I guess since he would be on the original plan less than 3 months, id get a chargeback?
You enrolled them with the wrong carrier and or plan if the network is already an issue. That's part of your responsibility to your client. Are their doctors and specialists in network?

Right, because networks never change during AEP.

I had the same thing happen. Signed up a T65 for 11/1/17 effective date.... doc is in-network... then during AEP it was announced that the group her doc was affiliated with was no longer going to be accepted by that particular mapd for 2018.

So, new mapd for 2018.

It happens, and no, it's not an agent mistake.

It does happen from time to time, especially with Humana I would say more often than not. Networks do change, in all markets. May not be an agent mistake, but who else is the client gonna bitch to? That's what sucks. I started in this business doing mostly MA-PD, at least heavily promoting it, but an now nearly all med supp and pdp which has their own issues.

Olympic caliber backpedal right there. Well done, sir.

They are good to go. I wont go into all the details, but I did what was necessary with the situation, however I do appreciate you sharing your opinion.
