Using Twitter to promote your business is all about participating in the conversation.

A great way to jump into the conversation is by joining a Twitter chat. Twitter chats are scheduled “chats” where people “meet” on Twitter to discuss a topic, industry or trend. To keep track of the conversation they use a hash tag, such as the Producers WEB Twitter chat #pro web chat (with no spaces - the spell check on the forum won't recognize the word without spaces).

#pro web chat is scheduled every Tuesday at 3 p.m. EST. This week's will focus on client communication: traditional vs. new methods.

More and more people, now sign up for Twitter and can even "follow" you on their phones and receive an alert when you post something new to your account. It's a good way to show you are connected and always looking for more information.

It is used to build reputability, however, and just like this forum, people patrol it to make sure that people are posting good information.
