We've been talking to an appointment setting company for group
insurance. They charge $130 to $150 for the lead and no residual.
That's why I think it should probably be less than 30%

Time is Money. If the appointments are solid and 80% - 90% show, I would charge anywhere from 25-30% depending on your cost to set up that appointment. (Maybe a smaller split on a larger deal?)
If less than 80% show I don't think you can charge as much on the split
