Just like the insurance carriers you all work for, its important to take calculated risks when investing in leads or any other type of marketing program. If someone sends you an email or places a call to you. STOP. No matter how slow the last month has been or how much money you owe other people. STOP. Don't spend your last few dollars out of desperation!
Before you buy leads, understand how they are generated, understand what information you will receive, understand how many people are buying the same leads.... get as much information as possible. You should also ask co-workers, your district manager, other agents in the office. DO NOT depend on online reviews solely or on places like this website. A majority of reviews on line are fake or written after receiving financial dispensation.... this may not always be the case...but I think its important to get an opinion from someone you know, rather than some stranger.
Lastly, understand the economics. How much will the leads cost, what is an estimated close ratio, what other costs are there, what are the revenues and gross and net profits. These are important things to think about before you jump in.
