Why Are People So Rude on the Phone??

Jeez, drives me nuts.

I call a TM lead and introduce myself, say that I'm calling you back from your voice mail and I get "No I didn't" *click*

Just drives me crazy when people are rude like that.

I'd show up and knock his front door if you're gonna be in his neighborhood anytime soon. Heck - You might have caught him 10 minutes after he found out his daughter is dancing on a pole or something. People who are initially tough can be easy sales.

I've been on the phone my entire career. Rule number one: It's not personal. They don't care who you are, don't hate you personally, and you'll never know what's really going on in their life.

Many times if you can push past the initial rudeness in the right way you'll get a customer for life. Many true buyers are the worst because they know if they get in a conversation with you, they will buy something....
