I can not stress enough how important it is to know your products. This is one very important thing you can do to improve your business. Most companies will offer you an agent guide. Take the time to study it. I make little cheat sheets on all my companies and products. Also study riders that you can attach to a policy. Your client is looking to you to be the expert on your products. If you have any questions about a product, call your IMO, the insurance company or find the answers.
