I can confirm what you are saying because I called AHU to ask them a question about two deals I had last summer that should start paying renewals in June. they told me that my contract would get canceled unless I wrote some business in the next 30-60 days and I would NOT get any renewal income. But even if I write business that renewal income would go towards the advance I would get on the new business.
