Kemper Senior Solutions

I'm going to study that HHC plan a little more now that I'm writing med supps.
It's a gimmicky plan since HHC, for the most part, is covered by Medicare.

Short Term Care would a better cross-sale since skilled nursing care is only covered if you're formally admitted to a hospital stay for at least 3 days.

Your Medicare Supplement doesn't pay their share of SNF costs unless this 3 day rule was met.

Seems like STC would solve this problem. Not sure why this product is not cross-sold more often?

I like the Bronze 20pay from ages 40-55. This is a much better comparison on the rate compare vs Gerber or MOO.

The difference from Life pay vs the 20 pay is sooooo small it is the only Bronze plan we sell to those under age 60. We come across the need for Bronze in this age group about once a month.

Just my 2 cents.... It is a small Niche but so is the reason for selling any GIWL.

Kemper has (had) a small daily benefit Home Healthcare policy too. No personal experience with it, but some agents wrote one with every MedSupp.

Still sell the HHC plan. Just have to know how to handle claims. It is more hands on and you will earn your renewals. Still sell a couple every month.

Most life guys do get how labor intensive Health products are and most company with health products all suck at service. Only Health Carrier I know of that has good service all around for agents and clients is Aetna.

Not really, you have the same qualifications for the limited HHC as you do with a Nursing/Skilled Facility with Medicare.

The HHC plan with Kemper is a pure Indemnity Plan and not Reimbursement, so you will be able to use the covered services as an extra cash payout to be used for the extensive services Medicare does not cover in Home Healthcare.

It is not just the three day requirement that causes problems but the fact that medicare only pays for skilled care and not intermediate or custodial care.
