Every year I want to take a CE course in an area that I know nothing about so I can learn something.

And every year I wait until the last minute and have to take courses that I already know so I can bang them out before the deadline.

I do the same thing. Georgia is every two years now. I buy the courses I need for the next cycle when I send in the current one. I'm old school.

That gives me two years to take it and I still wait till the last minute.

It only takes an hour to do the required junk... then pick another one:

My problem is... the CE provider I choose (for price and reliability) doesn't have any real additional courses that I would really be interested in. I'd like to learn more about business owner planning, ESOPs, and Private Placement Life Insurance... but my CE provider really doesn't have much on that stuff.

It's okay. I'm learning from great sources anyway... just no CE credit for it.

For $5 more, I can get unlimited CE from Sandi Kruise. Considering the designation renewals that count insurance CE, this is the better value for me.
