Wish I could sign this but link isnt working. This 48 hour rule is awful. People will lose out on knowledge to make important decisions abt their healthcare because of yet another hoop they have to jump through. Whats the point of a "cooling" off period so they can speak with trusted family and think about it IF THEY HAVE NO INFORMATION TO THINK ABOUT???? We sound stupid. Beneficiaries are initiating contact? If they say no or dont remember thats one thing. Move on. But to treat them like their senile? So far, its simply making them angry and our jobs harder as usual. Even with current members you need to obtain this. Medicare is already confusing but this just makes it worse and you can feel the defeat in their voice. Its awful! Whoever thought this was a good idea clearly has never worked with medicare beneficiaries
