What Carries to Pick for Fe and Leads

We both do a presentation to one prospect for FE. Both have the same price but i do offer my knowledge in homeowners. Who do you think would get that business? Knowledge is power sir ....

If you think that will work then I couldn't agree more with Matt in saying go for it. To answer the question you posed, I think the guy just pitching FE will do better. If you try to pitch more than one product at a time you're giving them exponentially more reasons to say they want to think about it and/or not want to do it. What if their house won't pass an inspection and you can't save them money? Do you think they wouldn't just say "forget it all, I'm going to find an agent that can actually help me with everything"? On paper it sounds great to try to be a one stop solution, in application folks that stay laser focused tend to do much better. There are tons of agents that try to do multiple lines, but they usually end up losing business to folks that are laser focused. The ones that stay focused tend to also stay in business a lot longer.

Like I said, if you think it's a unique value prop and it will work then go for it, but people are irrational and just because it sounds like a good idea doesn't mean people will go for it.

I completely understand your point. My main focus will be FE.I am not going to jump and ask them for everything at start.I am not looking for a quick deal.Sell and get out and never talk to them again. By building a report and start trusting. They will have you phone on speed dial.

As far passing inspection and saving them money it comes back to the report and trust you have. Being honest helps alot you know. ... They are people out there that would pay $100 more just to have you as an agent. They know you have their back.

Not in FE they wont:D:D:D:D

Why am i missing something?

Yeah.. If you are talking about the FE DM market..The majority of the responders will right at or below the poverty level.. To them, $8-$10 per month is a big deal.. That can be 1% -2% of their total income. It is the equivalent of $70 per month to the person making around 60K per year and I don't know many people that would not switch if an agent can save them $70 per month unless their agent happens to be their Mom or Dad.

----------

Also, you might want to get a good industrial fire company. A large percentage of the FE DM market lives in substandard housing that would never qualify for homeowners.

There is an FE market outside the direct mail folks but that market is usually worked by agents that specialize in the traditional family life markets not your hard core FE specialists.
