It Seems More and More People Not Answering the Phone.Door Knocking Might Be the Wave of the Future

We had that major issue with the advent of the DNC list in the real estate and mortgage industry. The post card mailer appears to be a front runner in securing better leads...IMHO.

Hope certain people don't see you using the title of "Field Underwriter" That has brought a lot of grief on some forum members... :1laugh:

I've not seen that. Could you provide some clarity to that accusation?

No accusation... Just statement of fact.

This was posted Rick..

At least Field UW is a legitimate and recognized epithet.

So you're okay with the dishonesty because you say people do this all the time?

And there is no term that consumers use that is "field underwriter." It is 100% meant to deceive.

Perhaps you should review your ethics.

Don't know why you assume every post is about you, JD..

Oh.. Maybe you were involved.. Here is a response of yours to Greg:

I don't say I'm the underwriter, I say I'm the "licensed field underwriter".

LICENSED FIELD UNDERWRITER is a real phrase used to describe agents that write biz.

Just because you don't know the definition of a word or phrase doesn't mean it's not correct and useable.

I know the definition and I know you are using it to deliberately mislead. You can try to paint it anyway you want. You know what you are doing is crooked and so does every other agent reading this.

I didn't say I hadn't seen that. What you claimed was that people had been "given grief" for simply using the title of field underwriter.

I have never seen that and still haven't.

That was a about a guy using hat title to deceive people that he wasn't a life insurance agent. Same guy also told people when calling the lead that he was calling about the check he had for them.

That discussion was about being dishonest.

Context is important.

If I took it out of context I apologize.. Is their ever a time that it is OK for an agent to represent themselves as a "field underwriter"?

I personally have wondered why it seems the majority of Agents want to be known as something other than agent. Sort of agree with Rick, it almost seems as if they are ashamed of what they do.
